Due to complications from COVID-19, I was admitted to Bronx Lebanon Hospital. I was experiencing shortness of breath and knew that I needed immediate medical treatment. My condition soon took a turn for the worse. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, I was intubated.
The medical team saw improvement in my lung capacity and extubated six days later. When I woke up, I felt extremely weak, unable to speak, and motionless. The hospital informed me that my road to recovery would require aggressive, short-term rehabilitation.
I chose Beth Abraham Center and couldn’t be happier. Since the very first day, the nurses have been attentive, the food has been delicious, and the therapy has been life-changing. I am regaining my independence and would recommend Beth Abraham Center to anyone needing rehab.
